There are certain moments in life, which inevitably end up defining who you are as a person...For those who know me best, some of my best moments in life have been in the service of the kids I help... My big passion in life (apart from surfing and traveling) is helping empower kids in wheelchairs... In 2007 with the help of my close friend Frank Bauer, I co-founded a foundation called Ocean Healing Group, which is dedicated to providing once in a lifetime adaptive sports adventures, to wheelchair bound kids and their parents...Over the course of 7-10 days, we fly the kids to Costa Rica and take part in a adaptive sports adventure that includes surfing, snokling, zip lining and quad riding through the rain forest amongst other things. My major goal through these efforts, is to help empower our disabled campers to break down their personal wall's and to embrace the idea that anything is possible for them in life if they apply themselves!...Are motto is: Carve the "Dis" out of Disability, and my only hope is that over the course of the trip, they come to the realization that in the end, it is entirely up to them to push the boundaries of their limits...That they are not weak and CAN accomplish anything, if they choose to!
